Helping Those with Cancer to Fight Cancer!

Cancer isn't something that is new to any of us. We have always heard news about cancer since forever. We may or may not know who among those around us are suffering from cancer.

Some of the common questions people would ask (I compiled this based on my own understanding from my readings):
Q: What is cancer?
A: Cancer is a form of uncontrollable cell growth that invades the body..

Q: What causes cancer?
A: There are a number of factors that can cause cancer. Examples are such as smoking, dietary, genetics,
     radiation etc.

Q: Can cancer be treated?
A: Depending on the type of cancer, there are specific treatments for it. There are many individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer survived the battle through early diagnosis and proper treatments along with the needed support from family and friends.

My personal experience with cancer
My beloved tutor who have known me since I was 16 years old till now was once diagnosed with cancer of the colon. I didn't know till a year after he got himself treated and given the green light that he is clear of cancer by the doctor.

He told me that the chemotherapy treatment would make him feel nauseous and drained. It was a very tiring battle. But, thank God that he is a strong-willed man, along with his beloved supportive family, nieces and nephews, he recovered at a fast pace for a man who is about 60 years old.

Honestly, when I heard of it, I was shocked. I cannot imagine all the pain and worry everyone went through.

Fighting cancer requires a lot of strength and support from those around us.

What People Can Do To Help
Whether we realize it or not, there are those out there who needs help in getting their treatment cost covered.

AXA AFFIN is working together with National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) to support cancer patients who are curretnly undergoing chemotherapy. With every blog post that links back to their 110CancerCare website in their efforts to care for cancer patients, they will fun one cancer patient with the daycare usage.

In short, with every bloggers who would post on this effort, a patient gets a one-day funding at NSCM Treatment Centre. With our post, we are indirectly helping them through their recovery, letting them know that there are those who are supporting them financially and emotionally.

Think about it, one post helps a patient, imagine 100 post, we'll be helping 100 patients! All it takes is just a post from you!
